William may have had a brother or cousin Thomas of Norristown who was married in 1806 by the same minister to Sarah WEST, both of Norristown. Other clues I have, a James Stroud of Norriton died in 1820. To complicate things, there is a William STROUD of some note in Norristown, younger than my William, who was an inventor of sorts, who married into the JAMISON family.
