Thank you all for the responses to my query regarding William FREAS and Rachel CLARE. To the person descended from "Katherine Freas(1858-1911), born in Germany, who married Nicholas Miller.", My William FREAS was the son of George FREAS, Jr. (d. btw 1834 and 1834}, who was the son of George FREAS (sp vary) b. 1729, Europe, emigrated to PA possibly age 1 with brother Casper and d.1809. There doesn't seem to be a strong connection there. Much of the info on this family came from the "Alice Propes Collection" of papers housed at the Philadelphia Historical Society. My favorite piece is a small, literally scrap of paper, receipt dated 1804 to W. FREAS for having his mother bled. Regards, Joan
