I am looking the the meaning of the tie pin found on a photograph of a gentlemen who lived from about 1850 to 1924. The tie pin is a hand, a left hand with the thumb pointing under the palm. The hand has thickness and depth. It includes the entire left hand and part of the wrist. The photograph was a cabinet card type taken by photographer O. S. Sauerman, Norristown. The man probably lived in Conshohocken. Does anyone recognize this symbol? Rosalie Sommer
