The ORWIG family of Schuylkill County ties into my GILBERT family originally from Gilbertsville area in Montgomery Co and moved to Brunswick Twp in Schuylkill Co and some of the GILBERTs are buried at the Red Church previously mentioned. Maria Magdalena md abt 1780 New Hanover Twp to George ORWIG. George was bn 11 Mar 1758 Berks Co d 2 Mar 1841 Mifflinburg. He is the son of Gottfried ORWIG. I have the following children: 1. George ORWIG bn abt 1780 d 1 Feb 1852 Sandusky, Ohio 2. Johannes ORWIG bn abt Jun 1781 3. Jacob ORWIG bn 18 Apr 1783 4. Isaac ORWIG bn 27 Feb 1785 d 10 Oct 1872 md Elizabeth YEAGER 5.
