SOPHIA WRIGHT Mrs. Sophia Wright died at 6:30 Wednesday Evening at the residence of her son in law, Mr. Henry Levengood, who lives on Hanover St., adjoining the Pottstown Cemetery. The age of deceased is 78 years, 2 months, and 19 days. On the 10th of June, last, Mrs. Wright went to pour water at the pump, which was just on the edge of the porch, when she slipped and fell fracturing the left hip out of the socket. From that time, until death came to her relief, she was a great sufferer, the injury finally resulted in blood poisoning, which terminated fatally as above stated. Deceased was twice married and she survived both husbands. Her first husband was Gabriel Kepner of Philadelphia, who died many years ago. Four children resulted from this union, viz: Samuel Kepner, who died in Reading several years ago, John Kepner, Amanda, wife of Henry Engle; and Lottie, wife of Henry Levengood, all of Pottstown. The second husband was Henry Wright, of Douglass, Berks County, who died eleven years ago. One son Mr. William Wright of this borough was born to them. The funeral will be held on Saturday the 31st, at the home of Mr. Levengood, and the remains will be interred in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Wright was a devoted Christian, a loving mother, and an excellent neighbor, and after lifes fitful career, she sleeps well.
