My great-grandmother Mary McGann Conley resided in Montgomery County according to the 1860 Census, and I was able to find the following records: Deed of Purchase (RD Book 75 pg. 298) Deed of Sale (RD Book 96 pg. 654) The descriptions given are in old surveying terminology and difficult to interpret. A lister, Mike, found the following: "The following deed abstracts for Harford County may give you some info. 6:249 (book:page) 11 Apr 1855 Henry Serf to Patrick Conley of City of Baltimore and Mary his wife, Tract in Harford County 88.25acres/28 square perches, part of "Hughes Cabbin" 6:270 12 Apr 1855 Mortgage from Conley to Henry Serf $375 11:358 19 Apr 1860 Patrick Connolly and Mary his wife of Harford County to Samuel Garrett "Hughes Cabbin" on which Patrick and Mary now reside, 20 acres.
