Regarding my previous post of yesterday, I am posting the following so it can be accessed through the archives... Montgomery County ss. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to John Hollowbuch, John Fry, David Evans, (__) Evans, John Barlow, James Evans and Jacob Shaid (sic) "Whereas, at the Orphans' Court held at Norristown, in an for the county of Montgomery, the 15th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-four before the honorable John Fox Esquire, President Judge, and the Honorable Esquires, his associates, Justices of the same Court. The Petition of Catharine Davis, widow of John Davis late of the Township of Limerick in the said County deceased, and Benjamin Davis, Elizabeth Davis, John Logue and Susanna his wife (late Davis) David Davis, William Davis, Michael Davis, Catherine Davis and Isabella Davis, by their guardians, David Allabach, and Nathan Davis, was presented: Setting Forth that the said John Davis lately died intestate leaving a widow, the above named petitioner, and issue nine children, the petitioners above named, to wit Benjamin, Elizabeth, Susanna (the wife of John Logue), David, William, Nathan, Michael, Catharine and Isabella Davis, the last six named of whom are still in their minority, and that the said intestate died..." and continues on, but is illegible, regarding the real property owned by John Davis at the time of his decease.
