Glenn, Do you know anything further about Dielman Kolb's wife, Susanna? She and Dielman Kolb are my direct ancestors and I thought her maiden name was not Custer but Keiser or Keyser, because I've seen it listed as Keisserin (German female children had 'in' added to their father's surname.) I see on-line that the opinion is about equally split between Keis(s)er/Keyser and Kuster/Custer, with several people indicating Susanna Custer was the daughter of Conrad Custer & Susannah Adams, but no one indicates they have proof. I'd really love to know for certain what her maiden name was and who her parents were...not only for the sake of accuracy, but because Keyser and Custer are both direct lines of mine too. Do you have any documentation proving, or at least strongly indicating, that Susanna Kolb's maiden name was Custer?
