Catherine, There are 29 different Lutheran denominations, of which the 2 you mentioned are a part. The Evangelical and Reformed denomination merged with the Congregational Christians in 1956 creating the United Church of Christ. It is possible that includes the German Reformed Church, altho some congregations might not have merged. The Dutch Reformed Church name is Reformed Church of America. Norman Vincent Peale comes from that denomination. There is also a Christian Reformed Church. These 2 are a product of a split. Hope this helps.
