In Abstracts of Philadelphia Wills, there is one George WIDNER, Yeoman of Gwynned, Co. of Philadelphia, Will Book N116. Will dated Mar. 8, 1764, proved Mar. 20, 1764. It names wife Margaret, children Abraham, Elizabeth, and Catharine. Executors are Joseph LUKENS and Jacob WENTZ, and witnessed by Mathias and Abraham LUCKENS. Gwynned Twp.(WIDNER Family) is adjacent to Worcester (WENTZ family) and Towamencin (WEBER family) Twps., and there are many other interactions between the Wentz, Lukens, and Weber families. An Elizabeth WEIDNER married Christian WEBER, Jr. of Towamencin in 1765, just a year after George's death. I have searched the records diligently and find no other Weidner/Widner family in such close proximity to the Weber family. I believe Elizabeth mentioned in George's will is the wife of Christian WEBER. Now I am curious as to the LUKENS connections, Joseph is executor, and Mathias and Abraham witnesses. Usually people who accept this responsibility, especially at a mans's death-bed, which this was, are related somehow. Could Margaret, the wife of George WIDNER, have been a LUKENS? I know Abraham LUKENS, son of Jan, had a daughter Margret born in 1727. I would appreciate hearing from anyone on any of these families, especially the WIDNER/WEIDNER family. Gene Rooks in Gotha, Fl.

The dau of Jacob Weber and Tacy Lukens was Susannah Weber, who mar Jessie Deaves. Jacob Weber was the son of Nicholas Weber, b. 1726, d. 1805 and Susannah Eaton. Nicholas Weber was the son of Chrustian, son of Nicklaus, son of Simon, son of Blausius, son of Marxus. Hopefully names and vitals are correct.
