Gene, I just listed my first query with the Montgomery CO. I am a Shearer but my Shearers are from around Pittsburgh. I think we are Irish but that is up for interpretation. A one George Shearer is as far back as I can go. He was married to a Mary Bruce I believe. I'll need to pull out my Shearer stuff if this might be your family.
