    2. Dear Leslie & list, If you are interested in the people and history of the colonial Skippack, Montgomery Co., PA, area and their Dutch (mostly) relatives, my 6th (7th?) G-Grandmother, Magdalena Van Sintern, did a kind of census 2oo years ago. It was expanded into the DeVoss genealogy and translated into english by Samuel Pennypacker 100 years ago. I entered it into PAF, then into GedHtree and posted it on : http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~scrapbook/pennypacker/devoss_gen.htm There are some 1430 names, all indexed. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~scrapbook/pennypacker/intro.html is the Samuel W. Pennypacker introductory letter with a link to the De Voss genealogy. I could recommend the book where I found the reference, but I am not quite sure of the exact title - forgive my old timer's. Try: "Maintaining the Proper...[or correct...or Right...] Fellowship" by Dr. John [or James] Ruth, published by the Mennonite Press. It gives the whole history of the area and the Mennonites.
