    1. [PAMONTGO-L] Conshohocken research
    2. Hi everyone, My name is Connie Jones and I've always felt lucky to be a Jones -- easy to spell, always fits in those name grids, hard to mispronounce. Of course that was all before I got started in genealogy. Now I long for one of those unique surnames and maybe even a nice ethnic group that stuck to traditional child naming patterns. Oh well, the fun is in the hunt, right? My Jones were located in Conshohocken. The furthest back I've gotten is Jonathan and Martha and their family in 1850. Right now I'm looking to get a death date for both of them. I know they were living with their son Joseph in 1880. Since they were both born about 1808 I doubt that they made it to the 1900 census, of course I could be wrong and know that I should check. If I can get a date and a death cert then I will hopefully be able to go back one more generation. Any suggestions? I've got more names and dates but didn't want to inundate you. Will gladly email anyone with more specifics if they come across anything that looks promising. thanks and good luck to all--Connie

    1. [PAMONTGO-L] Re: Insulator
    2. Margaret Green
    3. This wouldn't probably help much with the genealogy part but-- The shows put on by the people that collect bottles and insulators often have "go withs", old advertisements, books about them, etc. There may be shows for insulators. I know there are sometimes table(s) of insulators at bottle shows. What you can find out about a particular one, I don't know. Also, many collectors are very knowledgeable about the people who made and sold the bottles originally, etc. There are bottle magazines published and thus there are probably insulator magazines. If you can find them, send a letter to the editor asking readers to respond if they have information about him. It's worth a try. Marge Green > I am looking for Buzbys in Royersford, Pa. 2. Hello, Yes, Pottstown and all of the Pottsgroves (Lower Pottsgrove, West Pottsgrove, etc.) is in Montgomery County, but the Coventries (South Coventry, North Coventry, etc.) are in Chester County. I hope that answers your question. Also, Pottstown is further up the river from Norristown and Royersford, I live in Royersford and I know where everything is in the county.
