Kathy, if you are researching Montgomery Co., the Montgomery Co. Archives is the best for wills, deeds, estate papers, marriages. Bob and Carol provide the best of service and are cheerful too. I believe it's the Montgomery Genealogical Society that is absolutely wonderful too. It's in a red brick-white trim colonial style home/building with parking in the back. In fact, everywhere we went in Montgomery Co., the folks were most kind & helpful. However, the material available to our liking was in the two mentioned above. If you are not afraid to stay in Germantown, and want a clean room & bath for $20.00 per night, get in touch with me privately. Gerre Engard Byrd
Brian, I know what you mean. This is how it works in MY FAMILY My mother married an Erney and had 8 children from him. Than she had three children from a Grow. Believe it or not, Erney's mother, and Grow's mother were 1st cousins. Talk about a shortage :) Ivana ----- Original Message ----- From: Brian Bowers <brianingrid@hotmail.com> To: <PAMONTGO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, November 04, 1999 11:51 AM Subject: [PAMONTGO-L] How Many Ancestors Do You Have? - not some many Hi, What about people like me who had first cousins marry (at least twice in the early 1800s)? Brad, Thank you for the great list of Web sites, so useful to those researching their lineage. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! many times over. Mary in Florida.
Looking for Tom/Thomas METZGAR who would have been born early to mid 1800's. I have one in my database b: 1842, but the one I'm looking for now would have been his "uncle". Many family members were living in Kensington, Phila. by 1850. Do you know Tom? Please contact me. I have other METZGER/METZGAR info to share. Gerre Engard Byrd

William Feiring b. & d. Unkown Married a Margareth Spohn b & d. Unknown. Last known area they were in was in Oley Twp. Berks Co. PA in September of 1840. They had a son Cornelius Firing b. 6/26/1840 bap. 9/1840 at the Christ Oley Lutheran Church, Oley Twp. Berks Co. PA. D. 5/20/1900. Married a Mary Ann Lease b. 3/1832 and died 6/1915 in Allentown (which is where I am) I'm sure that it will all boil down to Matheis/Mathais Feiring who came to the NEW WORLD aboard the ship Union in 1774. The only problem is this.................. WHERE ARE CORNELIUS'S PARENTS! I have run across so many variations for this name, I can't possibly keep p with them. So far, I have found: FIRING, FEIRING, FIERING, FEYERING, FEYRING, FEHRING, FAIRING, FAIHRING, FEURING, FARRING etc. Any further help will be appreciated. *************************************************************** MAKE MONEY ONLINE NOW JUST BY SURFING THE WEB! http://www.alladvantage.com/go.asp?refid=BNU976 GenWeb Search Engine - Where are your roots? http://genweb.virtualave.net
