Dear Donna, I noticed your email re the Millers. I have a Miller that I am researching, and have encountered an unexpected obstacle. Absalom Miller (brn abt 1834 or 1839) Married Catharine and died 1892. He and Catharine are buried in the old section of the Pottstown Cemetery affiliated with the German/English Reformed Congregation of Pottstown. The Miller gravesite is part of an enclosure that also includes Jacob D Fegley (1830-1900) and his wife Mary Ann Hunsberger(1831-1912). The deed to the lot is in Absalom Miller's name. My family has always assumed a relationship between the Millers and the Fegleys. But I have not found any documentation to support this. Does any of the above information sound familiar to you? Have a great day. I am trying to find information on my HEWITT and NAYE family. Ephraim Hewitt, wife Lydia and children Ephraim, William, Isabella and Ann left Ireland and arrived in Philadelphia in 1860. They settled in the Montgomery County area. Ephraim Hewitt (don't know if father or son) purchased a cemetery plot at Montgomery Cemtery in 1865. There are no records and no stone. I have no clue who is buried there. Ephraim Hewitt (son) married Mary Jane Naye about 1871 in PA, most likely Montgomery County. Looking for date of marriage. Samuel Gibson Hewitt was buried at Westminster Cemtery in 1917 but can't find death record for him in PA. Gibson B. Hewitt was buried there in 1916, Again no death record found in PA. Need place and dates of death. Any information on this family would be most appreciated. Thanks, Lisa Lockett
Dear Marc, For a long time I have noticed that names associated with my NY lines seem also to be somewhat associated with my PA lines, but I can never find one person both places to show a link. I know that I have seen the name, Rea or Ree or Rhea, various possible spellings in early NJ. I think maybe the dutch lines, also, I have Kelly in my NJ line, way back, as a collateral. Phoebe
I have a Bucher or two, but I know "cousins" who have many. I am forwarding your post on to an expert in this line! Dear Betty I realised that when I received my copy. I sent the deaths via a table. anyway, I am removing the tabs hope this helps. Joan While trying to research information about Joseph T Hipple (1861-1039) I obtained information about one of his children who died in infancy. Since the photocopied page has several names. I am sending out the information. The handwriting is hard to read, so there may be some mispelled names. This entry appears in the pastoral record of the Rev. L. Kryder Evans who served the Reformed congregation (Trinity Reformed) from 1867 to 1912. This is also listed as the German/English Reformed Congregation of Pottstown.
