Hi Listers, Im hoping some kind person has access to either the Montgomery County US Census, or indices for, 1869, 1870, and/or 1880, and may be willing to do a look up for me. I found the following at the Montgomery County Historical Society during my last trip to PA last OCT, in their book on the 1850 US Census, under Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County: ELLIS, James, 35 Quarryman, b. England Mary Ann, 32, b. England James, 7, b. England William, 5, b. England Anna, 3, b. England George, 8/12, b. PA and elsewhere: ELLIS, Elizabeth, 12, b. England She is a sibling to James, William Anna, and George I, a descendent of Anna, Annie, and a cousin, a descendent of Elizabeth, would like someones help in tracing this family during the next 30 years. The 1860 census should look something like this: ELLIS, James, 45, b. England Mary Ann, 42, b. England James, William, and possibly Anna, are possibilities George, 10 b. PA Jane, ?, b. PA Mary, ?, b. PA Elizabeth may have been married to William TOMS by then. In 1870, we are only seeking the parents at this time, since were sure Elizabeth and Annie were married by then. Some of the younger children may still have been around, however. We would also want to see if James and Mary Ann were still living in 1880, since we have no records on them. Thanks very much, Bob Reifsneider Orange Park, FL

Do you have any first names of those you want. The first book I picked up has a section on Montgomery Co. & there are quite a few Petermann/Peterman. If we can narrow it down, it will help. I lost your address somehow, so I have to just put it on the list. Thanx, Donna Donna Hull wrote: > > Subject: > Re: [PAMONTGO-L] Lookup on Church records > offered/MOHR > Please and thank you.....the name is PETERMAN in Plymouth Township in > mid to > late 1700's- 1800's. A while ago there was discussion on the Kensington Riots of 1844 in Philadelphia on the Philly-Roots list. To read the information, you can search the archives as follows: Go to list search: http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl Type the list name : PHILLY-ROOTS-L Select the database: 1998 Use a key word: RIOTS
Hi June, The Historical Society of Pa. has some records from that Church. Here are some that they have. Falkner Swamp Reformed Church. Baptisms, 1747-1854; Confirmations, 1749-1830; Marriages, 1749-1799; Deaths, 1773-1821. original records. XCH/683. You can either call them at 215-732-6200 or check their website at www.libertynet.org/pahist Hope this helps, Walt Lafty
Hello, My brickwall. I have Isaac Brechbuhl/Brechbiel at his sons birth in 1748 at Lutheran Church and at another son's birth at Faulkner Swamp Reformed Church later at New Hanover. However I can find no earlier information on him. His wife's name was Catherine and he had one daughter Elizabeth born before the aforementioned sons. I have seen lots of info concerning the Brechbuhl's of Lancaster County. But as of yet I have been unable to relate any of them to my Isaac, & his name appears on no ships list that I can find. I have found some Brechbuhl's on the ship Samuel but am unable to trace them to my Isaac. Does anyone out there have a reference book that refers to Isaac or his parents before the 1748 date? I would appreciate it if anyone who has access to any references that give any information concerning this family before this date would pass it on. I need to bring him across the ocean at some point and cannot do so without this info. Thanks everyone for taking time to read this. Brenda
We were exchanging emails just a week or so ago, and now Linda has dropped off the face of the earth. I have done some research for her and wanted to give her the results. Hope she is alright. Gerre Engard Byrd

They attended the Gwynedd MM and were from Gwynedd and Plymouth Lenore, There are entries for every one of your surnames in the book "Montgomery County Births 1682-1800" by John T Humphreys but they are far too numerous to list them all. Perhaps you could narrow them down a bit or find this book. It was published in 1993 and I've seen it in several libraries in Colorado as well as Salt Lake City. In fact all of his 13 volumes (for various southeastern PA counties) are available on one CD from Family Tree Maker. Let me know if there are some in particular you are looking for. Diane
