OK, it was Barbara Wentz, married to JOSEPH TYSON, son of Cornelius. I really must proof read better. Gene
Oops, I erred on my last posting. Barbara WENTZ, who married her 3rd husband Cornelius TYSON on Sept. 30, 1784 at the Second Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, only had two children by him, Barbara, and Charlotte. The other three I mentioned were his by his first wife, Elizabeth ROBINSON. Best wishes, Gene in Gotha
Hi, Geri and all. On the marriage of Barbara WENTZ to Francis HAINICH, Jun 2, 1768, Philadelphia, I researched this, and discovered that the Barbara WENTZ who married Francis HAINICH was a widow at her marriage to him, not a WENTZ by birth, and she is NOT the daughter of Peter WENTZ, Jr., as mistakenly reported in the book on the WENTZ family at the Wentz Homestead. Barbara, daughter of Peter WENTZ Jr., and his wife Rosina GMELIN is a direct ancestor of mine. She did marry three times, the first to the Rev. John George ALSENTZ on Dec. 11, 1764. They had one son, and then he died and so did the child. Barbara then married her first cousin, Jacob WENTZ, Jr., both Jacob Sr. and her father Peter being two of the four sons of the emigrant, Peter WENTZ of Worcester. She had five daughters by Jacob, they were Elizabeth, Sophia, Catharine, Rebecca, and Barbara. My line continues through Catharine WENTZ who married William CASSELBERRY. Jacob WENTZ, Jr. died in 1783. Barbara then married for the third time to Joseph TYSON, son of Cornelius and Barbara Pennypacker TYSON. Barbara and Joseph had five children, Mary, Cornelius, John, Barbara, and Charlotte TYSON. It is this Charlotte TYSON who was the wife of Abram WENTZ, son of Col. John WENTZ and his wife Hannah NANNA Geri described in her last posting. Col. John is the son of Abraham ! WENTZ and Mary, another son of the emigrant Peter WENTZ, Sr. Best wishes, Gene Rooks in Gotha

Ref: Town and County Newspaper Pennsburg, Montgomery County, PA Saturday - April 25, 1903 PRACTICED MEDICINE AT TRAPPE FOR MORE THAN HALF A CENTURY Joseph Warren ROYER, M.D. (picture), of Trappe, is the oldest practicing physician of Montgomery county. He was born where he now resides July 21, 1820. He attended the public schools of his native township when a boy. He then took a four years course at the Lafayette College, at Easton, graduating from that famous institution of learning in 1842. Shortly after graduation he commenced the study of medicine and in 1843 entered the medical department of the University of Pennsylvania, from which he graduated in the class of 1845. Soon after receiving his diploma he commenced the practice of his profession at Trappe, where he still is in active practice. The field of his professional labors has been very extensive, and extending beyond his own and into Chester county. Dr. ROYER is a member of the different medical societies of this county, was physician and surgeon for the County Home for eight years. He is an able and interesting medical writer and wields a ready pen on political, civil and religious topics of public import or general interest. The doctor is one of the most active men in the community in which he resides. He has served as Burgess of Trappe, is at present a member of Town Council and was recently elected president of that august body. He is a member and the treasurer of Warren Lodge No. 310 Free and Accepted Masons, of Trappe, which Masonic body was named in honor of him for his zealous labors in securing its organization. The photograph from which the above cut was made was taken a year or two ago and in order to give the aged physician just credit we must say that he is much better looking now than at that time. HOT LARD CAUGHT FIRE Considerable excitement prevailed at noon on Saturday at Jonas HARING's hotel, in Upper Hanover township, when Mrs. HARING was about to fry some doughnuts. She placed a frying pan on the stove with considerable lard in it and after it was thoroughly hot it in some unaccountable manner ignited. The flames shot up to the ceiling and Mrs. HARING then screamed for help. Her son William and Irvin SNYDER were in the bar-room at the time and quickly responded. Mr. SNYDER took hold of the pan and carried it and the burning lard to the rear door, where he threw it out. While doing this some of the lard was spilled over his left hand, causing a painful injury. Dr. W.H. HUNSBERGER, of Pennsburg, was summoned who dressed Mr. SNYDER's injury, but the burns still cause him considerable pain. Had not this lard been removed from the kitchen so quickly, the probabilities are that the hotel would have been consumed by flames. RUNAWAY AT THE CREAMERY Harry MOYER, of near Sassamansville, had a runaway accident at the Sassamansville creamery, one morning this week while delivering milk. After he had unloaded the milk and was ready to start for home the horse became unmanageable and ran away. The wagon was partly broken and the horse received several slight bruises. GUINEA PIG FARM IN BUCKS COUNTY Edward F. They also have about two hundred common varieties. The former are sold as pets while the latter are raised and sent to medical colleges for scientific purposes for which they have standing orders. INJURED WHILE BUILDING CHICKEN HOUSE Oswin WEIKEL, of Argus, met with a painful accident one day last week while he was building a chicken house. The day was a stormy one and the strong wind blew a large door against his head. His head was pinned between the door and a wagon wheel and the force of the door against his head broke several teeth and caused him other painful bruises in his face. Geri: This is a tremendous service you're providing for us listers. I'm sure there are dozens of small cemeteries in Montgomery County that are crying out, "Come visit us; we've got people with these surnames buried here!" Your "hints" of who might be in these graveyards might be just the incentive some of us need to drive off the beaten path (i.e., outside of Norristown, Pottstown, and King of Prussia) to look for long-gone ancestors. That being said, do you (or any other listers) have a sense of where the parishioners of Balligomingo Baptist Church in West Conshohocken would be most likely to have buried their 19th-century relatives? I've pretty well exhausted Norristown and Gulph Christian and even Swedeland looking for my ancestral WHITEHEADS and KNEZELS. (Did find Rachel KNEZEL in Gulph Christian, but no sign of her husband or children, other than a probable granddaughter, Isabella, wife of Frank C. Smith.) Thanks in advance to you and any other Montgomeryites who might know where the Baptists are buried. Michael HILPERT is 'HILBERT' in a will. Michael HILBERT was a witness to a will of Joseph KOLB, New Hanover, on 9/2/1812. Will was proved on 2/13/1815. That is the only name in the index for him. BURGER/BERGER: George BURGER, New Hanover, 5/12/1806, admin to Eve Burger. So he must have died sometime before 5/12/1806. Will Abstracts are thru 1823 in the book I have. In 'Montgomery Co PA Births 1682-1800' by John T Humphrey, pub 1993: p 52. George and Eva BURGER had Sara on 11/24/1796 and Jonas 10/19/1799, both baptized at New Hanover Lutheran Church, New Hanover. Also, in this book of church records, Michael Hilpart's surname is spelled HILEBARD in the church record at New Hanover showing birth of 7/8/1748. You may want to check under this alternate spelling for more info! Diana, this is what I show on Jacob KIELER, father of Martin who married Susanna VANDERSLICE. Jacob is reported to have 11 children, not all known, but a Henry suspected as being one of them. Here is what I have gleaned: This posted on GenConnect by Sharon: My Keelers began with Jacob Keeler who married Anna Maria Scheiffely. Jacob was born in Saxony, Germany and immigrated to the Limerick area of PA. Jacob Keeler, by G. Byron Summers. (excerpts from his article - whole article can be found in Keeler file) "Jacob Keeller as he spelled his name in his will, is without doubt the earliest ancester of the Keeler family in PA, and of German blood. Conrad Keeler, son of Jacob, left a bible that is still in the possession of the family?, stating that Jacob came from Germany in 1729, hailing from Saxony. There are no records at Harrisburg or the PA Historical Society to prove or authenticate his arrival. We know however, that he was in PA in 1734, when at that time he had taken up a tract of 22 acres of land in Salford twp, in Phila. Co. How many years he arrived before this date will remain in question. Jacob died in 1739, leaving 11 children, one of them, Sarah. No doubt she was the youngest. Jacob was born previous to `1690 or about 1685. On the ship "Samuel" of London, Hugh Percy, Master, from Rotterdam, which landed in Phila. on Aug 11, 1732, was a Martin Giller aged 22 years. Jacob had a son Martin and both their graves are in the Keeley's graveyard of Schwenksville, PA., and on! their tombstones the name appears as Giller. Martin's name on the original immigration list appears as Martin Jeler, 22 years. Thus Martin was born about 1710 and was one of Jacob's first sons. On Oct. 31, 1731 in the New Goshenhoppen Church Records is recorded that Jacob Keller and his wife acted as sponsors at the baptism of Johan Jacob son of Wilhelm Schmitt. Also at the baptism of Johan Jacob son of Abraham and Anna Margaretha Trandsu on Jul 28, 1734, both baptisms by Rev. John Peter Miller. Jacob Keeler was married to Anna Maria Scheiffley. In Christopher Saur's paper the PA Berichte under date of Jan. 16, 1755, reference is made to Jacob Keeler as being a brother in law to Matthais Scheiffley of Old Goshenhoppen. Querie, was Jacob married here or abroad? If here he was an early arrival. I am inclined to think he was married abroad for I believe it was his son Martin who came across to America in 1732. Jacob Keeler mentions in his will of having 11 children all living, but he did not name them. Who they were will remain a problem. We are only assured of 4 of them: Martin, Conrad, Jost(Joseph), and Sarah. Four more, namely Michael, Creth, Barbara and Anna Catherine are very likely issue of Jacob no positive data exists to prove them as such where s their records, conditions and environments are so very much in favor that we can practically claim them. This leaves 1 son and 2 daughters to be located. At this time thee are records of 7 other Keelers in the Perkiom! en Region namely, John, 2 Henrys, Peter, Valentine and Philip and Anna Maria but their records are so meager and incoherent that we are unable to place them in Jacob's will."
