This is amazing information you're posting so regularly. My only regret is that Pennsburg is in the extreme northwest part of the county while all of my people (WHITEHEAD, KNEZEL, DeHAVEN, DAVIS) are in the southeast corner, around Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, and Norristown). But then I probably shouldn't complain too much, what with the Historical Society being in "our" corner of the county. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, May 31, 2003 12:07 AM Subject: [PAMONTGO-L] News from Pennsburg - May 16, 1903 > Ref: Town and Country Newspaper > Pennsburg, Montgomery County, PA > Saturday - May 16, 1903 > > FROM OUR CORPS OF ABLE CORRESPONDENTS > > SHIMERSVILLE > > Mr. and Mrs. John HOFFMAN were visiting friends in Allentown. > > Wm. I lived down river a few miles from Spring Mills during the late 1940s. The Spring Mills fair was a big event every summer. It was actually a carnival with rides and side shows. It was most likely set up there because it was an unincorporated area. Tom San Pablo, California
