David Smith was born 'Pennsylvania' about 1802 - 1805, married and had his first child in this church in 1829 before moving to Oakland County, Michigan. Names of Peter and Lydia Schafer are sponsors of the baptism. Peter and Lydia Schafer had children including at least George b. Dec 1823, Philip b. May 1826, and Sara Anna b. Nov 1829, also baptised in this church. Where was Stroudsburg in the 1790 to 1830 time range? It became a part of Monroe county after then.
