    3. I can't top the excellent advise given you by Geoff but I'll try to add a little. For a picture of the historical marker for Fort Penn go here: http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMR1   Bear in mind that this area was part of Northampton County prior to the formation of Monroe in 1836. Have you checked the PAGenWeb sites? If not, here are the links for Monroe & Northampton: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pamonroe/ http://northampton.pa-roots.com/   Hope this helps Randy Brown --- On Fri, 4/10/09, Loretta Lisowski <lpl2429@gmail.com> wrote: From: Loretta Lisowski <lpl2429@gmail.com> Subject: Re: [PAMONROE] PENSYL - historic locations? 3. Thanks Randy - the historic marker location is great info. I'll be taking a trip into the area this summer. What was happening historically in this area during this period is critical to my family's story. How they suddenly came to own 1000 acres of land in the Wyoming Valley around 1770-72, for instance, stills remains a mystery. Thanks again, On Fri, Apr 10, 2009 at 12:29 PM, Randy Brown <randyebrown@yahoo.com> wrote: > I can't top the excellent advise given you by Geoff but I'll try to add a > little.
