It is so sad when records are destroyed. My maiden name was Youngkin and the area where my David W was from those records were also destroyed in a fire. I'm hoping someday some one will find some records in al old bible and solve the mystery for me. Can't find out who his parents were. We have an idea but need the proof. Naming patterns point to it, and the people living in the area at that time we know he belongs to one of them. Those records were lost in 1828 in a fire so no records from 1797 to then. The church was in Kunkletown and is St Mathews. Do your churches there send records into the headquarters of that synod. They do here. I was wondering if any people living there who are related to the Christmans might have a bible with some records in it. Are there still lots of Christmans in Christman, Pa area. How big is the church and is there a web site for it with pictures? I'd love to see what it looks like. Thanks waiting for you findings and reply. Our school ended here the 29th of May graduation was the 30th. Thanks again. Connie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
