Geri, my sister married a Houck from Plainfield Township, Northampton County. As I was doing research of her husbands family I found records tying the name Hawk, Hauck and Houck soon after the Rev. War. I wanted to point this out as another event of the past that created BRICK WALLS for descendants researching the Hawk name. Reasons are still not clear if it was the census takers, family feuds or what ever else the reasons of the past. Gordon A.
