But if a look at the family relationships/naming patterns, would indicate that your hypothesis is a valid one. The data I have shows that William Nipert, Jr. of Tobyhanna and his wife Emma had a daughter Alice, born Feb. 1899. The 1920 Census confirms Howard Miller as her husband, as you said. And on Ancestry the UHL family tree names the two children of Alice as Victor and Emma Catherine. Since her grandmother Miller's name was Catherine, her mother's name was Emma, and in addition to the uncle Alfred you mentioned, she also had an uncle Victor, it would seem that you have the correct family. Alice's grandfather William was a brother to my great grandfather Gustav. I am still trying to determine the exact place of birth in Germany for the brothers who came to America in 1856.
