polk twp.-monroe co., pa. john serfass, a native of germany, located on the farm now owned and occupied by his grandson nathan serfass. he married susan hone and had 13 children, namely, john, joseph, adam, george, peter, william, david, hannah, sallie, catharine, christinna, elizabeth and thomas. john and thomas are both dead and none of their descendants live in the twp. andrew married christinna berger and had 8 children namely, aaron, joel, charles, ephraim, linford, emanuel, elizabeth w/o john smahle, and fanny, w/o aaron heiny. george was the father of 5 children, namely, john, george, susan, w/o john kerchner, elizabeth w/o amos everitt, and hannah, w/o peter smith. peter married catharine storm and had 7 children, namely, anna w/o jacob christman, andrew moved to luzerne co., sarah, w/o henry hawk, hannah w/o lewis hawk, elizabeth, w/o samuel hawk, franklin moved to northampton co., and nathan, married susan hawk, d/o david hawk and had 3 children, namely jerome, louisa and james. the wif! e died and he married 2nd to fanny fisher and they had 1 child, william, died single. david married sally everitt and had 4 children, namely, henry, barton, solomon, and frederick. hannah married william kresge, sallie, w/o george e. hawk, catharine 2nd wf of george kresge, and christina w/o conrad driesbach, elisabeth, w/o john eshen of northampton co., thomas married a miss dotter. conrad driesbach, was an early settler at kresgeville. he had 6 children, namely, elizabeth w/o charles shupp, maria w/o geoge hawk, sallie, w/o philip kresge, liza, died single, susan w/o frederick shupp and john. sallie the 3rd dau. of conrad driesbach was the mother of 3 children by her husband philip kresge, s/o george kresge.
