(spelling change) philip leidy, was born may 21, 1755,, died march 14, 1822. he was a soldier of the rev. he married rosina bucher, who was born feb. 22, 1760 and died nov. 2, 1849. among their children-samuel 1V. samuel leidy, s/o philip, was born aug 3,, 1790 and died sept 25,1873. he married hannah schwnk, she was born aug 11,, 1793, and died april 3, 1857. among their children-philip 2 V. philip 2, was born may 27, 1816 and died july 15, 1895. he married elizabeth krause, born sept. 13, 1816, died nov. 27, 1891-among their children-ephraim k. V! ephraim k. born nov 19, 1841, died aug 20, 1913. he married annie beaver, born sept 27, 1852, died oct 29, 1866-children, alvin francis, willard died in infancy, elizabeth, died in infancy, lillian, died in infancy V11. alvin francis, born in frederick twp. aug 21, 1871 schwenk, irvin a. tracing back the ancestry of irvin s., it is found that hans michael, was born in 1696, came to america, sept 20, 1741 "ship lydia", with two sons, hans george and jacob. george was born in germany, in 1728, died in this country, feb. 24. 1803, leaving a son abram. abram schwenk was born may 24, 1759 and died aug 6, 1843, he was a tanner and a rev. war vet. his son jacob schwenk was born sept. 14, 1789, died aug 19, 1852, he was a store keeper. he was survived abram g. schwenk, born june 14, 1826,, married elizabeth stauffer, and died oct. 14, 1899. children-mimnerva, wf of j. foster barbar of hazelton, irvin s.,, warren died in infancy phila. co ref. church, phila. pa.
