history of upper bucks co. children of abraham and hannah (lester) griffith; mary, 3/12/1709, married 1st to benjamin vastine, 2nd to james morgan, john, 1711, married ann jones, abraham jr., married elizabeth lynn, jonathan, 1716-1767, married ann tennis, joseph, 1718, isaac, 1720, married ann burson, samuel, 1722. mary griffith *abraham1) eldest child of abraham and hannah (lester) griffith, was born in byberry, phila. co., 5m 2, 1709, married 1st in richland twp., 11m 26, 1730 to benjamin vastine of hilltown twp., s/o john and abigail vastine, of huguenot descent,(originally van de woestyne). he was not a Friend but became a member of the richland m.m. about the time it was organized in 1742. on 2m 26 1743 a Friends meeting was established at the home of benjamin vastine at "perquishire." benjamin vastine died march 14, 1749-50, and mary married 2nd in 1751 to james morgan. children of benjamin and mary (griffith) vastine, hannah, 1731 married john kelly, john, 1733, abraham, 1735, benjami, 1739, jonathan, 1742, amos, 1748.
