His grandfather, also named Henry, was a native of Germany, and was one of the earliest settler of Lancaster County. Adam Dietrich was the father of Henry, and he was a native of Manheim township, Henry Dietrick, is the 5th in his father's family. In Lancaster County, Henry Dietrich married Sarah Rockafield a native of Lancaster County.
