Montgomery County History Upper Merion Township John Kennedy, the youngest of 8 children of Alexander and Margaret (Robison) Kennedy, was born 18 Oct 1815, Upper Merion township, Montgomery County. He married 27 Nov 1841 to Margaret S. d/o Moore Connell of Lancaster County. Children; Josephine the wife of M.M. Ellis of Phoexnixville, Maggie S., the wife of N.D. Cortwright, Jr., of Mauch Chunk, PA., Moore C.,and 5 other who are deceased. Montgomery County History Frederick Township Daniel Christman, arrived in PA, Sept. 5. 1730. He bought land in Frederick township. He belonged to the New Hanover Church in 1748. His children were Anna Ella, married in Dec, 1749, she married Johannes Grob, who lived in Conventry township, Chester County; Elizabeth, born 1734; Jacob, born in 1737, in Frederick township, and died in 1804; George, of Frederick township; Henry born 1844 a saddler, lived in Vincent township. Marriages at New Hanover Christman, Heinrich, to Susanna Kiehl, Aug 6, 1767 Christman, Johannes to Elisabeth Henrich, Oct 24, 1818 Goshenhoppen 1793, Jan 22, John Christman to Catharine Wiant, both of New Goshenhoppen In 1748, Rev. John Philip Leydich came from Europe, and began to labor here, and continued to do so untill 1765. The reformed people residing in the eastern porton of the township connected themselves with the Old Goshenhoppen congregation in Salford township near Periomen Creek.
