    3. Hi don't think this the one your looking for. Smith I. John Smith, great-grandfather, born in Germany, settled in Northampton County (1775). Issac H. Smith of Pike county, is the son of Peter Smith one of the pioneer settlers of Pike county. He is of German lineage. His great grand father was John Smith. Peter Smith, born Oct. 28, 1816 in Lehman township, son of Isaac and Catharine (Arndt) Smith, the former was the son of John and Barbara (Otterweller) Smith, the first of the family who came to this country; the mother was the d/o Michael Arnst, also a native of Germany and settled in Monroe county. On Nov 27, 1841 he married Caroline Schuman, who was born in Nazareth township, Northampton county, d/o Herman and Catharine (Sholl) Schuman of Bucks County, who came to Pike in 1839. Their son, Issac H., was born Dec 23, 1848 in Middle Smithfield, Monroe county, then Pike county. He married Aug 2, 1869 at Buskill, Pike county to Mary Middaugh, d/o Albert B., of Delaware township and they had 13 children; Frank, Susie, Ella, Hannah, Daniel, Caroline, Peter, Amsey, Clarence, Albert, Herald, Russell and Lille.
