My Isaac Smith was the s/o William Schmidt & Susan Transue. William was born 13 Sep 1781 and died abt 1850. Susan was born 16 Mar 1782 and died unknown. William was the s/o John & Catharine Ottenweller. Susan was the d/o Johan Philip & Anna Barbara Sherer. William & Susan's other children were: John T Smith married Louisa Arndt, Jacob married Polly Brook, William married Susan Wallace, Peter never married, Charles, Elizabeth married Jacob Transue, Sarah married John Miller, Julia married Philip Smith, Daniel & Isaac. Isaac was born 23 Dec 1810 married Rachel Cortright born 1826. Their children were: Sarah, James W who married Catharine unknown lived in Smithfield Twp, Wilson, Jacob Y, Charles married Minerva Walter buried at Shawnee Presbyterian, George married Ellen unknown, Obediah who was deaf buried at Prospect, Andrew, Emma who married a Gardner, Ann who must has died early, Alvin, Elizabeth who married Philip Ruster. Jacob Y married 21 Nov 1874, Ella Dildine from Wyoming Co, They had Charles Robert born 23, June 1875. Ella must have died as Jacob and his Charles are living with Isaac & Rachel in the 1880 census. Jacob is listed as single so I guess he could be divorced also. Charles was killed by a train 31 May 1915. His obituary states "his father was killed by a similiar accident along the Lackawanna Railroad in NJ four or five years earlier." Three other relatives were also killed by trains. The obit is pretty gruesome. It's title "Local Man Ground to Death on Lackawanna." Charles was my ggrandfather. Thanks for all your help, Pam
