Conrad Driesbach, was an early settler at Kresgeville. He formed a paternship with John Kunkle. He had six children, five daughters and one son, namely, Elizabeth who married Charles Shupp, Maria who married George Hawk, Sallie, married Philip Kresge, Liza, died single, Susan, who married Frederick Shupp and John. Sallie, the thrid daughter of Conrad Driesbach was the mother of three children by her husband Philip Kresge. Philip Kresge was the son of George Kresge. Philip Kresge became the owner of his father-in-laws property. He had the first hotel in the township, and was the first postmaster of Kresgeville., which village was named after him. John, the only son and youngest child, died at an early age, without issue. John Woolbert, was a native of DE, whose ancestors were Hollanders. In 1790 he came to Jackson township, Monroe County. He married Mary Weisner of Hamiton township, and had, Salley who married John Young, of Hamilton., Mathew, Louisa, who married George Neyhart, of Hamilton, Peggy, who married George Werkheiser of Hamilton, John, Simon, Charles, Joseph, Catharine, and George. Joseph Rinker, grandson of Abraham Rinker, who kept a tavern in the vicinity of Phila at the close of the Rev., came to Jackson in 1827, and leased the mill property of Martin Schleicher. He married in 1826, to Catharine "Bellos" (I know its Bellis, you know its Bellis, but it is written as Bellos). Children; Mary Ann, who married Abram Hufsmith, William, Lewis, Hester Ann, who married Adam Slutter, Rosanna, who married Jerome Heller, Caleb, Lydia, who married David Bright, James W., Rev. Joseph, who married Rosie Krotzer. George Bowman, came from Plainfield township, Northampton county and settled in Paradise Valley in 1822, He was the father of 8, Mary, John, David, Ann, Rebecca, George, Samuel and Jacob. Mary died unmarried, John married Hanna Dornblaser and lived in the township, they had 4 children; viz; Jerome, Susan Caroline, and Mary. Jerome, Mary and Susan, the wife of John Young died in the township. Carolie4n is the wife of George Arnat, and lived in the township. David lived in Pocono township. George resided in Hamilton. Samuel lived in Iowa. Jacob married Margaret Price and lived in the township. Rebecca, the wife of Jacob Harps, and the lived in Hamilton. Ann was the wife of Aaron Koch and they lived in the township. Frederick "Gravel" came from Germany and settled in Barret township in 1842. He had 8 children, viz; Jacob, Charles, John, James, Mary, Charlotte, Ferdinand and Mary. Charles, unmarried, Jacob married Annie Bagley, John to Abigail Buck and James to Josephine Utt., all resident of that township. Christoper Sommers came from Germany and settled in Barrett in 1845. He was the father of 5 children, Andrew who married Lucy Utt, John, married Caroline Crimin, Rachel married Jacob Mick and 2nd to David Bender, Joseph of Susquehanna County, Catharine married Peter Dean. Thanks Geri. I believe that Jacob and Anna Gravel were the adoptive parents of my GG Grandmother, Jennie Miller from Susquehanna County. If anyone else is researching the Gravels, I have some old photos of them that I can't identify. The only thing written on them was "Gravel family ".
