For several generations the Warner family has made its home in the state of PA. George Warner, grandfather, was born near Nazareth, Northampton, moved to Eldred, Monroe County, returned to his native county, locating near Bath. He married Mary Rummage also a native of Northampton county, and they had 8 children; 1. George, 2. John, who married ____ Patterson, and in 1826 moved to Ohio and reared a large family, 3. Joseph, died as a young man, 4. Jacob, a soldier in the Civil war, and he died in Wisconsin, 5. Mary, who married Joseph Stout, and lived in Columbia County, 6. Susan, who married ____ Keiper and they lived in Northampton County, 7. Sarah married Joseph Barry, 8. Peter, of Pike County. George Warner, was born in Northampton county, Feb. 16, 1790, died in Pocono towhship, Sept. 28, 1869. He was a Sgt in the War of 1812 and was a Capt, in the State Militia for some years. He was a Lutheran, and his wife was German Reformed. On March 1, 1812 in Hamilton twp, Monroe County, he married Elizabeth Anglemoyer, d/o John and Margaret (Marsh). Children, Peter; Charles, who married Elizabth Smith, William, marrried Elizabeth Workeizer,of Pocono twp., Jacob married Lydia Learn, of Paradise twp., Levi, married Matilda Slutter, of Jackson twp., Andrew, married Sarah Culbertson and moved to Michigan, and Samuel who married Elizabeth Snyder, of Pocono twp. Peter Warner, born at Pocono township, Dec 25, 1835, Married March 22, 1855 to Lovina Sittler, who was born in Lehigh County, Dec 28, 1832, d/o George and Mary (Stroub) Sittler. Children; 1. Edwin, an undertaker at Weatherly, Carbon County,he married Carrie Wuss and had 5 children, 2. Elmer, of Weatherly, married Anne Kreskey and had 4 children, 3. Emma, born May 1, 1859, married William H. Workeizer, they lived in Mt. Jewett, Elk Co.,4. Sarah born July 11, 1863, married W. Kreskey, of McMichael's, Monroe County. Best Wishes, Geri
