Lehigh County History Three brothers, John, Peter and Henry Adam Keiper, settled in Allentown prior to the Rev. John Keiper, the oldest, was born in Meissensheim, in Zweibruecken, Oct 19, 1751. He married Mary Catharine, d/o Rudolph and Barbara (Weiss) Schmid. She was born Aug 1, 1757 and died in 1841. John died in 1833, they had 11 children.(1) Elizabeth born Oct 24, 1766, married Oct 2, 1796 to John Haines, and she died May 11, 1854 , children (Reuben of Phila., Joshua, married Matilda Stem and had (Annie who married Henry A. Stillwagon and they had one son, Fred. H. of NY, Hannah who married Frank L. Stillwagon) Rebecca who died unmarried, 2. Jacob, born Oct 28, 1778 and died July 6, 1785, (3) John, born Feb 10, 1781, and died July 6, 1785, (4) Catharine, born Feb 12, 1783, married March 2, 1806 to Capt. John Ruhe, (5) Peter, born Jan 27, 1785 married Mary Butz. children (Dr. George, Dr. Christian, and Mrs. Mary Meixsell), (6) John, born March 4, 1787, (7) Sarah born Nov 5, 1788, married Oct 3, 1815 to Joseph Fox Massey and they had 4 children, (8) George, born June 18, 1791, married to Mary Henry, (9) Daniel, who was born June 19, 1794 he married Salome Bowman, they had 9 children, (10) Anna, born Sept 16, 1796 and married John Wagner, (11) David, born Aug 15, 1801, died unmarried in 1871. Peter Keiper, born in Zweibruecken, Oct 21, 1755 and died Aug 14, 1813. He married Catharine ____ and they had 7 children. John born Feb 2, 1785, Abraham, born Jan 22, 1787, Catharine, born March 6, 1789, Margaret, Peter, born May 8, 1793, William and Elizabeth Henry Adam Keiper, was born in 1757 and died Aug 6, 1817 on Walnut Street near 6th. He was a soldier in the Rev. and had children. Catharine the wife of Peter Good, Elizabeth, the wife of Jacob Hagenbuch, and John, who had sons (Gabriel, Daniel, William who married ___Knauss and one son (Owen). Best Wishes, Geri
