    3. Henry Everett Emerson, MD (subject), was born Oct. 26, 1866. The Emerson family, was indentified from an early day with the Soc. of Friends and has been represented in this county since 1720. John Emmerson, great-great-grandfather, married Unity Lowler. Vincent, great-grandfather Pennel Emerson, grandfather, was born Aug 4, 1779 and died April 2, 1854. He married Ann Jenkins and had 4 children; Pennel, born Dec 12, 1815, William, born Oct 16, 1818, Vincent, and Angeline born 1820. Vincent Emerson was born June 1, 1822 near Dover, DE. He married Jane B. Westbrook, d/o Col. John Westerbrook and his wife Sarah Brodhead. The Westbrook family left England in 1630 were pioneers at Albany, NY. John Westbook was at Portsmouth, NH Oct 9, 1665. Job and John were there in 1689-90. Col. Thomas Westbrook was said to have come from Strouwater, Gloucestershire, England, was a ship bulider in Maine. He married Antie Van Etten, and had at least two children, Jacob and Johannes. Jacob Westbrook, the next in line of descent, married March 24, 1746 to Lydia Westfall, they had 6 children; Blandina, Johannes, Soffrine, Solomon, Maria and Jane Solomon Westbrook, 2nd son of Jacob, was born Oct 6, 1762 and died March 30, 1824 and grandfather of Mrs. Jane Emerson. On Sept 24, 1782 he married Margaret DeWitt. They had chldren; Jacob, John, Solomon, Margaret, Sofferine. Best Wishes, Geri
