    3. Hi, what I send to anyone who requests a look-up is some facts. What I sent you are where some of the Aces are buried. There is not any service or pension information (at the National Archives from the Rev. or the War of 1812) whichs makes researching them very hard. Church records may be few and far between, so please hold on the cemetery records I sent, Pam F. walked all around (in the heat of the summer looking for them and was kind enough to share them, again, thank Pam). This just some of the info, Comm. Bio Record page 1153 ACE, GEORGE, great-grandfather,( gave dates) settled near Easton, ( a few church records can be found in Easton, and also look under ACHE), he married a Miss 'Boney". Children, Jacob, George, Peter, Elizabeth, Katie, Polly (Mary), Lydia, Sally (Sarah), and Ann (prob. Nancy) Peter Ace, grandfather, settled near Shawnee, Monroe Co. He married a Miss "Sigafus" ( that name is spelled at lest 10 ways). whose first name was supposed to have been Albina. Children; Elizabeth who married John "Detrick" ( again, watch the spelling) of Ponoco twp., George, of Pocono, married a Miss Transue, Joseph, Peter's father, married a Miss Smith (watch this, because there were Fremch Smiths, English Smiths, German Smiths,some who changed their name from Schmidt) and they moved to Sus. Co., Catharine, married at Gruver, and they died in Sus., Co., Abraham who married a Miss Doreshinn (again the spelling, many spelled it Dorshimer) and they settled in Sus. Co., John, who died in Sus. Co., unmarried, Julia Ann, who married a Mr. LeBar. All are deceased but Joseph who was in Tunkhannock (1900) Simon Ace, father, was born 1814 in Smithfield township, he died April 29, 1899, he married Margaret Michaels (but that could have been McMichaels), who was born in 1815, in Smithfield township, and died March 5, 1898, aged 83. Children;1. John M.,2. Anna M., died as a child and 3.Solana, died as a child, 4. Samuel, born Nov 29, 1840, in NJ, married a Mary Heller of Paradise township and settled in E. Stroudsberg, where he died in 1898, leaving children,( Robert, Ida, Alta, Howard, Sarah, Anna, Charles, and Mary, deceased (1900), 5. Peter, was born in NJ, in 1843, was single and lived in Smithfield, 6. David, born in Monroe County, PA, in 1847 he married Sarah Heller, 7. Moses H., married in Monroe Co., in 1845 to Sarah "Tribel" of Smithfield township and they lived in Del Water Gap. Children; Irvin, Stewart, Oscar, Lewis, Willard and Emma. Johm M. Ace. was born in 1851 (Dec. 16), he married Hattie Arndt, who was born Aug 18, 1853, who was born Aug 18, 1853, in Stroud township, d/o Benjamin and Mary Ardnt. Mr. Ace moved to Snydersville. Children; 1. Claude B., born at Snydersville, March 1, 1881, 2. Cora, born Aug 19, 1886, 3. Mabel P. born May 5, 1889. Page 1197 Ace, Simon M., owner of the Riverside House, Smithfield township, born May, 1846, in Warren County, NJ, his grandfather, Peter Ace, pioneer settled , later he moved to Tunkhannock township, Luzerne Co. In his family there were 5 children; George, of Swiftwater, Monroe county, Joseph of Wyoming Co., John, died unmarried in Tunkhannock, Catharine, the wife of John Gruver of Tunkhannock, had 5 children. Simon Ace, native of Smithfield, married Margaret Michaels. Children; 1. Samuel, taught school in MOnre county, after his marriage, they moved to Bartonsville, he married Elizabeth Heller, d/o Henry. Children;Robert, Howard, Charles, Annie, Sarah, Ida, the wife of George Craig of Springfield, NJ, Alda, the wife of William Rockerfeller, of East Stroudsburg. 2. Peter, 3. David, married Sarah Heller of Smithfield and had one daughter Bertha (if if memory serves, she married Eugene Felker), 4. Horace, born in Smithfield, in 1849, he married Lizzie Arndt, and they had (Wetzer, Mary and Rhoda). 5. John, born in Smithfield, married a Miss Arndt, of Stroud township, they lived at Swiftwater, Pocono twp, chidlren, (Claude H., Mabel and Cora. Tax list-1840, Middle Smithfield, George Ace, Sr., Peter Ace, Simon Ace, William Ace, John Trible, John M. Tribel, Peter Tribel, George Tribel. Michael "Arnst", John Arnst, Elias Dietrick, Samuel Dietrick, Joseph Dietrick, John Dietrick I have made links to Kresge, Heller, DePui, Harris and some others and I've put them on genforum. So these books, well, maybe the dates are off by a little or off by a lot, but this kind of research would not be possible without them. Best Wishes, Geri
