Hi, everyone! I'm new to this list, and I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm searching for my father's family. He was born around 1923 so he may well be gone by now, but I'd be interested in knowing if he had any descendents (other than me). My parents were divorced when I was an infant and my mother (who died in 1998) was disinclined to tell me anything at all about my father's people, so finding leads has been difficult. (This is also not the most uncommon name in the world!) This past weekend, however, I did find relevant information in a 1930 census. This is my father's family: Benjamin J. Jones (my grandfather); Viola Jones (my grandmother); Bernard B. Jones (my father's brother); Catherine R. Jones (my father's sister); Muriel J. Jones (my father's sister); and Benjamin J. Jones [Jr.], my father. I know my grandfather worked at or owned an insurance agency, probably at least up until the 1950s, and my father was a high school teacher and coach. Anybody know any of these people or their relatives? I'd like to know about medical histories, if nothing else. Thanks for any help you may be able to give. Nancy Z. Erie, PA
