Children; John, George, Henry, Daniel K., Mrs. Moyer, Mrs. Rebecca Seller, Mrs. Shaner and Mrs. Schell Daniel K. was born near Boyertown. His first wife was Sarah Guldien. Children; Jeremiah G., and Mary, who maried Jacob Hartman and lived in Phila. Daniel K., married 2nd to Mary Landis. Children; Henry, John, Catharine, Lydia, Matilida and Ella. Jeremiah G., of Colebrookdale, in 1867 he married aMiss Weisner. d/o Daniel Weisner. Children; Harry W., and Ada. Ritter, Henry L, of Colebrookdale. was born near Boyertown Nov 4, 1854. The grandson of John Ritter (above), he was married 3 times, his first wife (grandmother to Henry L.,) was Rosanna "Kemmerrry", and one of his wive's was a Rhoads,, Children; Daniel, father of Henry L., George who died at Norristown, Henry, who had a son Augutus, Lydia, wife of Thomas Shoener, Mrs. Shell, Mrs. Daniel Moyer and Mrs. Zoller. Daniel Ritter, married twice, 1st to Sarah Guldin, they had 2 children; Jeremiah, of Reading, and Mary Hartman, of Phila. He married 2nd to Mary Landis, d/o Henry and Catharine (Schall) Landis. Children; Catharien the married Edwin Knouse, Daniel, died young, Lydia who married Aaron Moyer, Herry L., Matilda, who married Wallace Riegner, John, in Montgomery county, directly across from the Berks County line, Ellen, marrried Alexander Buchart, of Worman Henry L., on Jan 21, 1893, married Annie B. Drumheller, d/o John and Maria (Batz) Drumheller, and granddauther of William and Mary (Bricker) Drumheller. Children; Mamie D., Paul D., and Norman. Members of St. John's Lutheran Church of Boyertown. Ritter, Francis, his children, Daniel born l776,married Susan Snyder, and died 1853' John; Jacob; Samuel, born April 3, 1792 married Catharine Kast, and died Sept 8. 1860; Mrs. Charles Kessler; Mrs. Nicholas Seidel,; and Mrs. Samuel Christian. Hon. John Ritter, son of Francis, was born in Exter, Feb 6, 1779. Mr. Ritter died Nov 24, 1851age 72. he married Catharine (Frailey), children; Joel; Louis born April 13, 1813; Aaron born April 15, 1816, died Oct 6, 1889. Joel Ritter, son of Hon. John, was born in Reading, Dec 13,1811. He was twice married, first to Angeline Betchel, dying at 26. He married 2nd to Barbara Roland. Children; one died in infancy; Henry, ; and Ida. Lehigh County Ritter, Grover D., was born Oct 27, 1889 in Bethlehem, s.o Thomas B. and Lena (Mosenbach) Ritter. His father was also a native of Bethlehem, served 37 years on the police force. The mother was also born near Bethlehem, died July 1908. On April 9, 1914, Grover D., married Clara Anna Sheidy, of Reading, d/o Charles and Maria Sheidy. Child of Grover D., and Clara Anna, John Thomas, born May 23, 1923. Ritter, Martin, native of Upper Milford township, he married Margaret Steininger, and about 1750, purchased 700 or 800 acres of land in what is now Salisbury township. He died about 1826, he left 6 sons and 1 daughter. Henry, Martin, John, Daniel, Jacob, Michael, and Margaret, married Solomon Klein of Allentown. The sons all settled on the original tract of land and died there. There sons and daughters now living (1884) Henry Ritter, Rebecca, wife of Peter Klein, and Sally, wife of Peter Keck are all of the family of Henry. Of Martin's family, Reuben B., Jacob B., Elizabeth, Sally, Anna, Solomon B. of Allentown, John B., Martin B., of S. Whitehall and Charles B., of Whitehall, Mary Anne, the wife of Jacob Laudenslager, lived in Emaus. John's family are Reuben K., in Salisbury, Daniel in Allentown, Levi, Upper Milford township, Martin of S. Bethlehem, Elizabeth who married Joseph Kern, of Upper Milford, Matilida and Mary Ann of Allentown. Daniel's family are Gideon, of Emaus, Daniel of Bethlehem, Joel of Coopersburg, Eliza, married Roham Shuler, and Rebecca, the wife of John Seems. Michael's family, his wife is still living (1884) in Salisbury, children, Angelina who married Addison Mory, Amanda, who married Jacob Hildebeitel, Aravesta, unmarried, Benjamin of Macungie township, Tilghman of L. Milford, Wilson in Pennsburg, Sylvanus in Emaus. The first family of the Kemmerer to settle in Salisbury township was T. Kemmerer, a native of Wurtember and took up land about 1744. His sons were Jacob, George, John, Adam, Henry, and Martin. His daughters became the wives of _____Bortz, ____ Reinhart and _____Ritter.
