Casper, and Martin. Accompanying them were Elizabeth, the wife of Paul, their sister, Anna and Barbara, and Paul, the son of Paul. Martin and Casper were under the age of 16. Paul Ritter secured a tract of land, Dec 2, 1737. This tract was situated on the Hosenack creek, north of the Great Swamp Reformed Church in Lower Milford township. He lived there for some years and attended the Lutheran church near Dillingersville. He moved to Colebrookdale township, Berks Co. He was born in 1713, and died Feb 14, 1799. Daniel Ritter, wasborn in Salisbury township, Dec 1, 1817, and died April 27, 1871. He was the son of Henry and grandson of Martin Ritter. He married Annette Romich, born Sept 17, 1835, died March 4, 1900. Ritter, was born in Coopersburg, PA, the son of Wilson and Matilda (Graybill) Ritter. His father died in 1920. He married at Pennsburg, to Hannah Bossart, d/o George and Catharine Bossart. Mr. and Mrs. Ritter had 6 children; Tillie, John, Grace, Wilson, Ruth and Victor. Jacob Ritter, minister, of Plymouth Meeting, was born in Springfield township, Bucks Co., in 1757. His father and mother had come from Germany, and to pay their passage hither bound themselves to serve three and four years, respectively. The Revolution breaking out, joined as a soldier, and at the Battle of Brandywine was made a prisoner by a body of Hessians, and confined, with nine hundred , in the prison at Phila. Through in influence of his cousin and Joseph Galloway, the superintendent of police, he was discharged from confinment. In the sprin of 1778 he married Dorothey Smith, and moved to the city. His wife died in the spring of 1794, he moved with his children to Springfield. In 1802 he married Ann Williams of Buckingham. He was a minster among Friends for 50 years and of Plymouth Meeting for 29 years. He died Dec 15, 1841, aged 85 and was interred in the Friends burying-ground. Northampton County Stewart D.
