Catharine, W4418, BLW#18700-160-55, widow applied 1843 Northampton Co, aged 78, soldier had married Catharine Snyder on 29 June 1789 at Easton, soldier died in Allen township 26 Feb 1823. Soldier and widow's son, William (born 14 Aug 1792) married Susan Brown on 3 Oct 1816 and they had Robert Samuel, born 4 Aug 1818 and a daughter, Eliza Susan born 24 Sept 1820 Lehigh County History Christian Brown, the ancestor of the family settled on Cedar creek, Sept 18, 1738. He was of German origin and spelled his name Braun. He had two sons, John Adam and Christian. John Adam Brown was born May 18, 1738 Christian Brown, s/o Christian and Angenisa Catharine Brown was born Dec 8, 1740. I found no Robert with this family Now the Browns (that I could find) from England who came to Northampton/Monroe came in about 1820, 30's and 40's. So they are out. Northampton Co.
