    3. Among the earliest settlers of Germantown was Andreas Soupli who was evidently a man of influence, being chosen sheriff of the corporation in 1691. On the Revelotutionary muster rolls of Phila. County are John, Isaac, Andrew, Jonathan, Nathan, Daniel, and David Suplee. Peter Suplee of Schuylkill township, was a soldier in the Rev., and died of camp fever, a few months before his son, Peter, was born. The latter married Hannah Eastburn, to whom were born 9 children; Peter; C.E., born July 30, 1804, married 1827 to Catharine Jones, d/o Charles of Montgomery County, (Children; Benjamin, married and left a wife and 2 children,Mary J., married William Stephens, Edwin, Adaline who married Abraham Delp, Sarah J., Esther Ann, married Gideon Ruth) Margaret who married Joseph Rapp, and Eliza who married W. R. Kennedy. Family were members of the Baptist Church. Longstreth, Bartholomew, born at Longstreth Dale, deanery of Craven, Yorkshire, England, on 8, 24, 1679. Came to PA from the Settle Meeting dated 1, 1,1698/9. He married at Horsham, 11, 29, 1727 to Ann Dawson, born in London, 1795, d/o John and Dorothy of Moreland, Phila. Co. Bartholomew died suddenly, Aug. 8, 1749, buried at Horsham. His widow married 6, 7, 1753, to Robert Tomkins of Warrington, Bucks Co., by whom she is said to have been treated unkindly; she left him and went to lived with her son Daniel. Afterward moved to Charlestown, Chester County, bringing a certificate from Abington for herself and three younger children, Elizabeth, Joseph, and Benjamin. She died 3, 18, 1783, and was buried at Friends' graveyard, Pikeland, near Kimberton, as was also her mother, Dorothy Dawson. Children of Bartholomew and Ann; Sarah who married William Fussell, John, Daniel, Jane, died as a baby, Jane2 married Jonathan Coates, Ann, who married Benjamin Coates, John who married Jane Minshall,(children; Daniel, Hannah, John, Sarah, Anne, Moses, and Jane), Elizabeth, married Joseph Starr, Isaac, married Martha Thomas, Joseph, married Susannah Morris, Benjamin, born 7/17/1746, diied 8/4/1802, married Sarah Fussell, second to Mary Wilson, born 10/2/1751, died 4/23/1797, (Children; Joseph, William W., Benjamin, Mary, Ann, Sarah, Elizabeth, Rachel W., Hannah, Jacob, George F.). March, Franklin, subject, the March family is of German origin, although there are English and Irish families of the same name. Fredrick March, who settled in Frederick township, Montgomery County. He had several sons, of the Frederick Jr., went to East Vincent township. Michael March, father of subject, Franklin, was born July 24, 1808. He married Susanna, d/o Henry "Chrisman", also of East Vincent township. Franklin, subject, born March 14, 1836, Marsh, (Rev.) William H.H. was born in W. Nantmeal (now Wallace township) July, 1836. His mother was the d/o Henry Buckwalter of that township. Workizer, Christian, subject, entered the English Army as a Lt. at Ascheffenburg, in 1747. After the capture of Quebec, he married a lady of French extraction, they moved to Chester County, PA., and they settled in the village of Howellville. They were accompained by his wife's brother, Anglice Sheridan. Children of Christian, Mary, Margaret, Elizabeth, Priscilla, John and Jacob Sheridan.
