    3. Hi, my e-mail to you came back. There are two "Gerhart/Gearheart/Gerhart families, one from Monroe county and one from NJ that settled in Northumberland County the same with Gerhard/Gerharts. The Sebastian from the Rev., was an English Miller, who family married into the French Millers, the German Millers, and yes even the Irish Millers. Sebastian died on a visit to his brother in Montgomery County, but at the time of his death, he lived in Monroe County. I. John Miller, great-great-grandfather was born and died in England II. Sebastian, great-great -grandfather, was born in Yorkshire, England, Feb. 6, 1758, settled in Montgomery County, then moved to Wilkes Barre, finally to Monroe County, (Hamilton township), where he lived. Died on a visit to his brother, on Nov 11, 1842. He married Susan Dillon or Burdillon the orginial spelling of the name now being in doubt, she was a Quaker, who was born in Scotland and died in PA., July 25, 1834. Children; Ann, who married a Dungan, William, Margaret, Mary, Hannah, Elizabeth who married a Houser, John, Samuel, Joseph, Daniel, Violet, who married a Kesbaugh, Sarah, who married Ezelkil Reemer. (Part of the obit that appeared in the Phila., newspaper Another Revolutionary Veteran Gone. Departed on the 11th, at the home of his brother, John Miller, Sebastian Miller, in his 85th year of age. He had left his far distant home to take last leave of his brother, residing in Abington, Montgomery County. Of his 12 children that survive him, etc. III. Charles Miller, grandfather, was born Dec 20, 1789. He married Hannah "Fetherman", they had 3 children; Philip, Sallie born Aug., 1819, married Charles I. Miller and lived in Bartonville, and Lydia Ann, never married IV. Philip Miller born Jan 21, 1816, married in 1841 to Eliza Cope,. V. Nathanial C. Miller, MD was born July 25, 1848 in Monroe County, on April 18, 1882, he married Rachel Kunkle Rachel (Kunkle) was born in Monroe County Feb 25, 1856 (Hamilton township), d/o Peter and granddaughter John Kunkle, who was born Jan 5, 1776 and died April 15, 1846. He married Rebecca Huston, d/o John and Catharine (Anderson) Huston, and died July 20, 1850. John Huston was born 3 days after his parents arrived from Ireland. Peter Kunkle married Julia Ann Walter, born Aug 28, 1823, died Sept 22, 1892, d/o Jacob Walter, born April 16, 1799, died Sept 22, 1842, and his wife Margaret (Smith)born Feb 2, 1788 and died April 17, 1867, the d/o John Smith, who came from Holland, and his wife Catharine (Arnst) The Featherman Fanily, name having been Vetterman. Balthasar Vetterman was born in Holland, came to America in 1750 with his brothers, Casper who settled in Berwick and Philip who settled in Ohio. He married on April 22, 1751 to Catharine Margaretta Huft, d/o John Huft. Anna Catharine Fetherman, d/o Johann Philip and his wife Mary Sarah (Dannerhower) Fetherman was born Aug 17, 1790 at New Milford, Lehigh County. There Millers in just about every cemetery in Monroe County. So yes, I sure do think there was more than one Sebastian Miller. Gearhart family is of German origin, but has been identified with PA from and eary day: Seven brothers of this name fought in the Rev.. Best Wishes, Geri
