William Geahart, brother to Capt. Jacob, was born in Strasburg, Germany, came to America in 1754. He settled in Hunterdon County. Served in the Rev. After the war he settled in Northumberland county. In NJ., he married Eleanor DeKnight, and they had 4 sons, and three daughters, William, Aaron, Tobias, and Jacob, Elizabeth who married____ Amens, Anne who married ___Amens, Mary who married ____Lamberson. William, son of William, was born in NJ., married Sarah Boone, and had children; Maybury, born 1813, Harriet, born 1815, married Lewis Yetter, Juliana, 1818, married Samuel Darder, Eleanor, 1819, married David Clark, and Amelia, born 1821, married G.M. Shoop Rev. War, pensions Gearhart, Jacob, S3329, NJ Line, soldier was the son of Jacob Gearhart, and he was born in Hunterdon, NJ., Jan., 1765 and stated that a Mrs. Baylor/Bailor, of Northumberland County, PA., had his birth records but did not state the relationship to her. Soldier lived in Kingwood Township, Hunterdon Co., NJ where he was raised at enlistment. In 1791 he moved to Rush Township, Northumberland, applied there in 1832. Soldier had served as a JP and Judge for Northumberland Co. and in 1828 he was a Presidential Elector in 1832 Gerhart, Peter S5180, PA Line, soldier applied in Columbia County 1836 aged 82 a resident of Mifflin township. Soldier was born 10 Dec 1753 in Berks County and lived there at enlistment and about 1806 he moved to Columbia County. Soldier's widow Marelious Gerhart applied 1836 in Columbia County.
