Stoudt, William H., subject, was born in Moore township, Northampton county, Aug 22, 1839, and he is the son of John Stoudt. He married in 1863 to Mary A.C. Paulus, a native of Bethlehem township. Children, Howard of West Bethlehem, Oscar of Phila., and Clayton. Stout, Abram, M.D., subject, was born Aug 31, 1831, the son of the Hon. Isaac Stout, who was also a native of Lehigh County. His grandfather's given name was also Isaac. The parental-great-grandfather, Jacob Stout came from Germany, and settled in Williams township. The family originated in Hesse-Darmstadt. The Doctor was one of eight children,four living, known children; Hon. Lewis H., Mrs. Frederick Christman of Bethlehem, Mrs. Elizabeth Steckel, also of Bethlehem, and Catharine, who married Samuel J. Shimer. Dr. Abram, married in Bethlehem 1857 to Mary I. Cartright, who was born in Mauch Chunk, and whose death occurred in 1887. Her father Ira Cartright was of Mauch Chunk. The Dr. and his wife had children; Ira C., of Joplin, MO., George Clymer, a graduate of the Naval Academy, and Charles Edward. Stout, Edward, M.D., subject, a resident of Allentown, was born in Bethlehem, Jan. 2, 1865. He married Nellie K. Strom, they were married at Stroudsburg, Monroe County, a d/o Judge J.B.
