I have all of the children and most spouses and birth, death and marriage dates. I also have a book on the Meckes showing Elizabeth's Linage. James and Elizabeth are listed in the 1860 Census for Tunkhannock Township, Monroe Co, PA. I haven't been doing any research for a few years and I'm trying to get back into it again. Dale Berger is a great source. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I've been told there is a cemetery located there. My great grandmother Barbara, her father: Adam D. Christman, his wife Juliann, and another daughter of Adam's and Juliann's are buried there. I believe my grandfather was baptised there also. I've tried to find a phone number or the pastors name to see if there are records available. Christman, Pa is located on Hwy # 903 near the interstate # 476. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Yes I would like the names of James and Elizabeths children for my tree. I don't have many of the names of the Kepier family. I wonder why it is so difficult to find information on them. The church records of St Mathews UCC were lost in a fire. Maybe thats where the records were for Barbara and John Keiper. I have contacted Dale Berger and have lots of the Greenzweig records. He is a wonderful researcher and if he doesn't have it I belive it's not to be found. When you have the time to e-mail me those names I'll appreciate it. Thanks again. James is a son of John and Barbara too, but I don't have any info on John & Barbara. They're just peripherally connected to my tree. But there is a Keiper website that I found some info. It might help you: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~keiper/ Also, for info on any Green/Greenzweig family in this area the best resource is Dale Berger. His family tree file is posted on Rootsweb/Ancestry. You should look there too. Michelle Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. These are the names I've been unable to find much information on. David Youngkin/Younkin David, shows up in ELDRED TWP 1860 md to a Levina (GREENZWEIG) Children - Rueben b.1843, William b. 1846, Robert b. 1848, Samuel b. 1850, David b. 1850, David b. 1853 Charles b. 1854 Martha Jane b. 1858. Mary Matilda B. 1865? Hoping to find David W. Sr parents names. They went to the ST MATHEWS UNITED CHURCH of CHRIST in KUNKELTOWN until 1860, when they moved to Carbon County. Also found a Henry YONKEE/YOUNKEN on a 1817 tax list in Ross County. Ross was split into ROSS and ELDRED TWP. and the Henry YONKEE/YOUNKEN without moving were then in a different township. At one time this entire area was Chestnut Hills Twp. I believe the spelling of YONKEE is a misprint and a typo error, it should of been an (N) instead of a (E) and is JUNGHEN/YOUNKEN. I feel we are somewhere in this line. Their is a Anna Maria JUNGHEN/YOUNKIN wife of Henry Youngkin buried at the above church in the old cemetery. KEIPER, John and Barbara are the parents of my Henry b.1807 md. Susanna HAWK. looking for information on this line of the KEIPER family. Their oldest child daughter Julianna md. Adam D. CHRISTMAN. Henry had a brother John who md. a Catherine SERFASS and a James KEIPER who md. a Elizabeth MECKES. I need lots of HELP on these people. Any information or leads to help me figure this mystery out is appreciated. Many Catholics are buried at Old North South Cemetery. The Cemetery at Swiftwater now on the site of the UCC Church would be German Reformed. My father was Karl DeHaven. He passed away in Bucks County, PA. I have received emails from Cookie and am getting confused with all the data. Perhaps you could assist me? Do you already have a family tree document? If so can I get a copy? I have no idea how to start this process so I can pass on to my children and grand-children. Who was Oscar Pugh? When was he born and when did he pass? What did he do for living? My grandmother, Bertha had a son Donald Smith. Do you show him in your records? What is my nationality? I was always told German? I only remember my grandfather being Harvey DeHaven. Do you have an info on him? I know he had a large family but can find nothing on him either. I heard many things about him. I was told he came from Germany to avoid prosecution during the Holocaust time. I was also told his name was von dahaven and changed his name to DeHaven when he came to America. Would Mark be my half-cousin since he was from Oscar Pugh's second marriage? This is like finding out you were adopted and now finding family. I am no longer a DeHaven but a Pugh and I know nothing about the Pugh family except what you have provided and what Cookie is going to share. She also said she had a picture of parents when they were young. I can't wait to see that. I have so many questions but I don't want to overload you. You may also hear from my brother, David DeHaven. I had shared Cookie's info with him. My email address is barb525@comcast.net. Barbara Coupe 610-461-8076 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
