Did you ever get them or did you come up from Florida. I have taken lots of pictures of tombstones at the Salem Church Cemetery in Gilbert, Monroe Co., PA. If you want i could email photos or if you have a special list i can check to see if i have them. My email is lbmack@enter.net Almost everyone in that cemetery is a ancestor of mine. 3. I don't have any info on this direct line, but the wife of Gustavus NIPERT B. abt. 1845 in Wurtemberg or Prussia, was Margaret ERBACH, a sister to my great-great grandfather, Valentine ERBACH. According to the census, Margaret ERBACH and Gustavus NIPERT were married about 1868. Margaret, her parents, brother and sister came to the USA from Germany (Argenschwang, Prussia according to Valentine's marriage record) in 1853. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has info on this family. Other sisters of Valentine and Margaret were: Maria, m. George LAMB Elise/Elizabeth, m. (1)Jacob GILNER/GELLNER m. (2) Herman FELTON Catherine (NFI) This info is all from the censuses that I have found online. Shirley in Ohio, but from NJ - my Mom was from Scranton, PA

I did receive a package of the paperwork that they require you to fill out for membership. I have since lost interest in becoming a member but I seem to recall that there is an option for you to join 'At Large' which means your membership doesn't need to be associated with a particular chapter. You might want to contact the organization's national headquarters - probably something online will point the way. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. But if a look at the family relationships/naming patterns, would indicate that your hypothesis is a valid one. The data I have shows that William Nipert, Jr. of Tobyhanna and his wife Emma had a daughter Alice, born Feb. 1899. The 1920 Census confirms Howard Miller as her husband, as you said. And on Ancestry the UHL family tree names the two children of Alice as Victor and Emma Catherine. Since her grandmother Miller's name was Catherine, her mother's name was Emma, and in addition to the uncle Alfred you mentioned, she also had an uncle Victor, it would seem that you have the correct family. Alice's grandfather William was a brother to my great grandfather Gustav. I am still trying to determine the exact place of birth in Germany for the brothers who came to America in 1856. I have e-mailed a DAR Regent in Monroe Co. on March 14, 2009. She e-mailed me back that she was in busy phase until early April and gave me e-mail for chapter registrar. I e-mailed registrar on March 23, 2009. Have never heard back from her (May 2,2009) and have e-mailed numerous times. E-mailed Regent again on Apr. 11, 2009 she responded back that she cc'd my e-mails to registrar. E-mailed Regent April 25, 2009 about help please as registrar has not contacted. No contact from regent, May 2, 2009. I have given both of them my name, address, home phone, e-mail. Does anyone know if you have to apply for DAR membership in the county in which you live? Or can I apply somewhere else? Thanks for any help. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
