    2. Annette DeHoff
    3. I have acquired Volume II of the Journals and Papers of David Shultze, copyright 1953 by the Schwenkfelder Library. David Shultz was a surveyor who kept journals most of his adult life. They are a collection of his daily activities and a good record of births, deaths, real estate transfers in the Montgomery, Berks and Lower Northampton (Lehigh) County area. I highly recommend them as reading material for anyone interested in the daily details of life in the 1700s. His journal for 1782 has record of a land transfer for my ancestor, David Strouse, and gives me a good time frame and location for David Strouse's move from Hereford township, Berks Co to Macungie township, Northampton County. This is an example of the information found in his journals: 7 March 1782 Wrote 5 bonds for David Strouse 28 March 1782 Wrote agreement - Henry Hystant to David Strouse. 125 acres for 500 pounds-and signed bonds. Volume II has an index for both volumes.I would be glad to do look-ups. Please send your request to me off-list and I will reply to the list with any pertinent information. If anyone has Volume I, please contact me. I have an interest in one item in that Volume. Annette Rainy Bucks County, PA
