For more info about the Laubach's try their family association: http://laubachpeople.tripod.com/ Or contact Dale Berger, who is a well known researcher on many of those west end families. (I will send the email off line) If you are interested in matching the American family with the German ancestry, a resource just for that purpose is Annette Kunselman Burgert's 18th Century Emmigrants books. (2 volumes) She went through Strassburger and Hinke's transcriptions of passenger lists and looked for both the US church records in PA and the German one in the Palatinate. It won't give you full genealogies for the most part because it wasn't really designed for that. It will give you a match of the locations though and then you can consult the full records from there. Hello, I searching for others who had ancestors arrive to America in Sept., 1738 on the ship Queen Elizabeth. My ancestor, Johann Henrich Silvius, arrived aboard this ship. He later settled in what is now the Kunkletown area of Monroe County. Johann Henrich Silvius was probably from the Palatine region of what is now Germany. I do not know the name of the town or village where he and his family lived. I would be interested to know where your ancestor lived before they emmigrated and also where they settled when they came to America. Thank you very much. Your help is greatly appreciated! These two sisters were the children of John and Abbie Young. The family was presumably from NY before settling in Monroe County. Matilda's DOB 1855 but Anna's unknown but younger than her sister. Matilda married John Callahan in 1875 and Anna married John Phillip Gearhart, date unknown.Am trying to trace the Young family;other siblings, Abbie's maiden name, etc. The family appears on the 1850 census but then in 1860 census Abbie is gone and other names appear in the household. Have been through many many John Youngs but seems impossible to pinpoint this one. Thank you for any information regarding these individuals. Betty Kilgore

Hello, Geri..If ever you get the time, could you look into something for me. My 2 x Gt Grandfather was ELIAS DIETRICH, born in February, 1816 somewhere in Pennsylvania. After much research and many dollars spent with paid researchers, I still can not find where in Pennsylvania and who his parents were so I can continue my search back into Germany. ELIAS DIETRICH moved into Ohio and his first son, Levi, was born in Richland/Ashland County, Ohio about 1838. ELIAS DIETRICH married a Lucy Ann (Payne?). Then he moved into Defiance County, Ohio where the balance of his family was born: Catharine, Jonathan, Sidney Jane, Franklin Daniel, Charles, and Mary. ELIAS DIETRICH died in September, 1884.......The help I am looking for is this: there was an Johann Dietrich born September 4, 1749 in Philadelphia, Pa. and he married a Elizabeth Minier. They had 9 children. Child number 7 was a George Dietrich who was born June 1, 1786 in Upper Mt Bethel Township in Northampton County and was christened at Christ Church, same Township and County. Child number 8 was Abraham Dietrich, born September 4, 1788, same Township and County.....Has anyone researched these two boys to see if possibly they had a son named ELIAS DIETRICH that would have been born about February, 1816? I am running out of ideas on how to proceed and indeed any, any help or ideas would be truly appreciated. Also, the name of ELIAS is apparently carried down as my Grandfather was also named ELIAS.
