Since I haven't listed my interests in a couple of years: researching the Zimmerman families (descendants of John George and Margaret) in the Smithfield area. Interested in sharing information.
I am not using Deed Mapper, and I don't know of a St. Michael's Church in Smithfield. Could it be St. Marks Church also known as Zimmermen Lutheran In Smithfield Twp. Monroe co., Pa. ? My understanding is that Effie is the equivalent of Eve or Eva, in the same way that John and Johann and Juan are all the same name in different languages. Linda
