Pennsylvania birth records were first stored at local court houses and then centrally at the states. This did not start to happen until the 1890's. Marriages depend on the county but are always stored at the county courthouses, not with the state. 1860 is close to the date Monroe starts. (sorry, don't have the exact date) Unless you are looking for modern records, in the state of PA you need to look at church records. That's where the majority of genealogical data comes from. Cloudeight Funletters bring FUN to your email freeHello I am looking for the burial site of Johannes HOHENSCHILD b. 1774. I have seen two different locations 1. Keller's Cemetery, Stroud Twp 2. Cherry Valley Salem Church Cemetery, Cherry Valley. Are these one in the same or different? Does anyone know where he was truly buried? Thanks so very much!
