All born in PA. 1860 census: Aaron Clay, age 41; residing in McVeytown, employed as Cordwainer. No value given for real property; personal property valued at $100. In residence: Margaret, 40; Jemima, 16; William, 14; Mary E, 12; Ann W, 5. All the children attended school that year. 1870 census: Aaron Clay, age 51; residing in McVeytown, shoemaker; real property valued at $800, personal property at $245. In residence: Margaret, 51, keeping house, born PA; Mary E. Bush, 21; Amy C. Bush, 2; Anna W. Clay, 14; Louemma (?) Clay, 8; Jane E.Clay, 6. All children except Amy C. Bush attended school during the year. 1880 census: Aaron Clay, age 61; shoemaker; both parents born in PA. In residence: Margaret A, wife, 60, keeping house, both parents born in PA.; Loemma G, 19, daughter, single, at home; Aimee C. Bush, 11, grand-daughter, both parents born in PA.
